PureWest is proud to support the 26th Annual Can the Cat-Griz Food Drive! Each year leading up to the Brawl of the Wild, our offices join this Montana tradition of friendly rivalry and generosity to help fight hunger across the state, and last year alone, PureWest donated more than 150 pounds of food and raised over $6,000 to support local food banks.
Our Missoula office is rallying for Can the Cats, while our Bozeman office proudly backs Can the Griz. Beyond the football field, this friendly competition reminds us what the Montana spirit is all about: neighbors helping neighbors.
If you’d like to participate, contact your local PureWest office to learn how to donate or get involved:

Every can, every dollar, and every pound collected makes a real difference for families in need this holiday season.
While Missoula and Bozeman lead the charge in this annual food drive, communities across Montana are facing growing food insecurity. The recent reduction in SNAP benefits has impacted 77,000 Montanans—including 48,500 children—as part of a nationwide cut affecting 42 million Americans. Each person now receives an average of $185 less in monthly support, putting extra pressure on local pantries and food banks.
If you’d like to make an impact in your own community, the Montana Food Bank Network provides a helpful statewide directory of pantries here.
Together, we can make this year’s drive truly unforgettable for all the right reasons.
