Is it really necessary to plan in advance to buy a home?

Is it really necessary to plan in advance to buy a home?

Let’s say in a year from now you think you’ll be ready to buy... it’s time to start planning now!

• Let me break it down for you •

12 months out: Check your credit & finance situation - work on getting them as tight as possible.

10 months out: Come up with a budget and plan to save.

8 months out: Determine your home needs, wants, & location desired.

6 months out: If you haven’t already, time to talk with a Realtor & Lender to make sure you’re on track.

3 months out: You have put in the bulk of the work and are ready to get pre-approved and stark looking at homes!

2 months out: You found the one & are under contract. The closing date is typically 30-45 days from now.

LAST Month: Your Realtor handles most of this month for you while you focus on preparing to move into your new home!

Closing Date: You get the keys a bottle of champagne & your new life begins!

How do you feel about this 12-month plan? Let me know in the comments!
