The Bozeman and Missoula communities recently completed the 22nd annual Can the Cats/Can the Griz food bank drive, a friendly competition in the lead-up to the Brawl of the Wild football game between Montana State and the University of Montana.
PureWest Christie’s competed on both sides of the event, contributing to a banner year that collected over 375,000 pounds of food and more than $860,000 in donations to the two communities. While Bozeman and the University of Montana prevailed over their Missoula rivals, marking their 18th win in the contest's 22-year history, the real winners were the food banks in the two communities. PureWest Realtors across the state were proud to support the efforts of this food drive and assist families and individuals facing food insecurity and hunger. The collected food and funds will help keep shelves full into the spring and summer months.

Bozeman real estate agents held their own friendly competition within the larger contest and PureWest Christie’s emerged victorious, collecting 4,035 pounds of food for first place. The Gallatin Association of Realtors brought in almost 14,000 pounds of food and the Missoula Association of Realtors collected over 6,000 pounds.
While we at PureWest Christie’s Real Estate make our living helping you with all your Montana residential and commercial real estate needs, we also strive to set the standard for community involvement and support. We find satisfaction in our work, serving as your trusted Montana Realtors, and joy when we can support causes like Can the Cat/Can the Griz. Thanks to the efforts of everyone who contributed, the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, Bounty of the Bridgers food pantry, and the Missoula Food Bank can keep doing their incredible work in their communities.
