Deep in the heart of winter, we curl up in our favorite reading nooks to dive into our imaginations. Engulfed in soft blankets, sipping aromatic hot tea, stories unfold. The weight and texture of each book feels natural and comforting. It is time to get lost, to slip away.
Like safe havens, cozy reading nooks grant us an escape - into other worlds and characters. Like time machines, they transport us to other centuries. Convenient portals where we saunter to, lounge in comfort and enter new worlds. All of this occurring through ink that has dried upon pages...

What are some of your favorite books? Do you only reach for a specific genre, or do you flirt with different subjects?
Whatever your reading pleasures, a comfy reading nook can feel like a necessity to avid book-lovers. If your home didn’t come with an obvious space to nestle into with your favorite books, then create one of your own! Here are a couple of pointers for arranging a proper reading nook-
Light is for sight!
You won’t want to read in your new nook if the lighting makes it hard to see the words on the page. It sounds obvious, but make sure you have enough light in order to see. Don’t get caught up in creating the perfect warm ambiance with low-lighting so much that you’re straining your eyes or tempted to quit right before the story gets good.
Make it work for YOU
If you get distracted easily, then maybe right next to a bustling kitchen is not the best spot, and a hidden cove in a quiet corner of the house might suit you better. On the other hand, if you only get small chunks of time throughout the day to squeeze in some reading, perhaps a central locale would allow you to get the most pages turned. Tailor the nook to fit your reading habits and needs.
The sake of ease
If possible, Keep the necessities all in the nook, so you can flop down and start devouring that book immediately. Reading glasses, blankets and pillows, and of course, the book. By storing these items in the nook it will remain an inviting scene even when you leave it.
We hope you get a chance to cozy up to a delightful book in an equally enjoyable nook in due time. Happy reading!
