Many of us are finding we’re spending more time at home these days, so there’s no better year to have some extra fun with your home decor. Step outside the box, try something new, and get a little trendy! We’re loving these 2020 Holiday decorating themes and hope you will, too.
Animal prints
Animal prints are making appearances in designer shops and boutiques this holiday season. Adding touches of printed fabric to wreathes, candle displays, and centerpieces is a subtle way to incorporate this funky trend. If you’re wanting to go bold, use animal print napkins or a table runner to spice things up!

Farmhouse
The farmhouse decor theme is still going strong and will make for a cozy feel this holiday season. Black and white checkers are trending and make for a great added touch to the theme. If you already have the farmhouse style going on in your house, accent your neutral colors with reds, greens, whites, and twinkle lights to easily make your home more festive while maintaining this trend. And use greens. Evergreens, eucalyptus, you name it. Lots and lots of greens!

Candy Land
Why not get playful and step outside of your comfort zone with a candy theme? This colorful and cheery trend is delightful especially if you have small children or grandchildren. Think Candy Land, with swirly peppermint decorations, lots of pastels, frosted cupcakes, and maybe add in nutcracker statues to really create a dream-like environment.
Rustic Glam
Bring on the glitz with shimmery metallics, and sparkly silver, gold and rose gold. Juxtaposed with natural woods, pinecones and evergreens, the sparkle gets toned down - so you get the sparkle without the gaudiness. Use mirror ornaments and mercury glass to incorporate extra shimmer.
Classic Blue
Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year was named Classic Blue, and we love it so much that we’re going to use it right to the year’s very end. Fortunately, it pairs well with the traditional holiday colors of red, green, gold, white, silver. Classic Blue, described by Pantone as “a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk”, is being seen everywhere this holiday season. Ornaments, ribbons and bows, candles, and wrapping paper are great ways to add in this tried-and-true blue.
We hope you find yourself joyous this holiday season. Don’t let the fact that things are looking different this year get you down. One way to add that extra bit of sparkle to the season is by going above and beyond with decorating your house. Who cares if not as many people will being seeing it? Do it for yourself, and go ahead and deck those halls!
