Pure Giving: PureWest Pledges to Match up to $10K for MT Fire Relief Fund

Montana is one big main street under one big sky. We’re connected to every corner. And that means we’re all feeling the effects of one of the state’s worst wildland fire seasons on record. This summer, blazes have consumed homes and displaced families. Evacuees are huddled in emergency shelters. Flames have ignited fields of crops, logging lands, and our national parks and forests—more than a million acres in total. Even as rains fall and temperatures cool, the impact of one of the worst wildland fire seasons on record will be felt for a long time.

The Montana Fire Relief Fund is working overtime to provide to those in need. A Montana Community Foundation (MCF) fund, its aim is to efficiently and effectively respond to the current wildfire disaster in Montana and future disasters affecting our state. PureWest is confident in this fund—grantmaking decisions will be led by a MCF staff-led committee, in consultation with an organization local to the disaster whenever possible, in an effort to provide the most effective support utilizing local knowledge.

Through Pure Giving, PureWest’s campaign to coordinate donations to the Montana Fire Relief Fund, we pledge to match up to $10K in support. 100 percent of funds will go directly to those in need. Every dollar helps!

The Montana Television Network is also matching up to $50,000!
