PureWest Gives Back 2019 | Montana Real Estate

What makes a house a home? What makes a neighborhood a community? We think it’s about the love you put in, the bonds you grow, and the commitment it takes to work towards a better future. At PureWest, we know Montana real estate—but we also know how important it is to build relationships for life. That includes dedicating regular contributions to numerous charitable organizations, including these:

Child Bridge finds and equips foster and adoptive families for the nearly 4,000 children in foster care in Montana.

Right now, nearly half of those children do not have a loving home to help them heal from their lives of abuse and neglect. “Every morning, I sit down and fix her hair,” one Child Bridge Foster Mom says. “Such a simple task to some mothers, but for her, it is a big deal. You see, she never had a mom brush her hair or learn new styles for her. This is the small beginning of her feeling loved.”

2019 highlight: This year, Child Bridge celebrated the milestone of serving 1,000 foster children.

The Montana Down Syndrome Association honors and nurtures the extraordinary lives of people with Down syndrome, by advocating for them and providing educational, financial, social, and emotional support.

2019 highlight: Every September, MTDSA hosts Buddy Walk, an annual fundraising and awareness event that involves a one-mile community walk, plus music, food, activities, and a silent action. Funds raised support MTDSA’s monthly inclusion events, such as its Valentines Day Dance and Holiday Party, as well as the financial assistance fund for medical procedures and equipment. 2018’s Buddy Walk raised record funds. “PureWest has always been one of the largest supporters of our community and annual Buddy Walk,” says Becky Colman, Vice President, Montana Down Syndrome Association.

Bozeman Area Community Foundation’s mission is to connect people who care to causes that matter, to build a better community.

They do this by strengthening Bozeman’s local nonprofit sector through grant funding and professional development, helping donors to give by creating charitable funds to support causes they care about locally, and inspiring a culture of giving in their community, through initiatives like the Give Big fundraising event.

2019 highlight: The Bozeman Area Community Foundation received accreditation with the nation’s highest standard for philanthropic excellence. National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations® establishes legal, ethical, effective practices for community foundations everywhere. BACF is the only local community foundation in the state of Montana to earn this accreditation.
